Health and Safety

For the safety of our guests and team and, to comply with current COVID-19 restrictions, guests at BIG4 Stuart Range Outback Resort must abide by the following:

  • Please do not visit BIG4 Stuart Range Outback Resort if you or any other member of your family is unwell.
  • If you or a member of your booking becomes unwell whilst staying at BIG4 Stuart Range Outback Resort or anytime in the two weeks following your departure, you must advise BIG4 Stuart Range Outback Resort immediately.
  • Hand sanitizer is provided at several stations around the park for your use.
  • Extra signage is also up, encouraging regular hand washing and social distancing.
  • We encourage all guests and staff to download and activate the COVIDSafe app.
  • All guests must be listed in your booking including name and contact phone number.
  • A mandatory registration form must be signed prior to checking in the apartments.

Social distancing requirements apply, including guests and staff remaining 1.5m apart from each other and no more than 1 person per 4 square metres. In order to achieve this, please:

  • Ensure you stand on the marked dots on the Reception and Shop floor. If there are no available dots, please wait outside.
  • Ensure only one person, per booking, enters the Reception or Shop area.
  • Groups and/or gatherings of more than 10 people should be limited.
  • We have over contactless payment. Please arrange payment via credit card or BPAY, prior to your stay if you intend to pay this way.
  • No visitors – please do not invite or entertain visitors who are not registered in your booking into the park.
  • Children must be supervised at all times in the park, to ensure adherence to social distancing.
  • Guests must abide by safe practice and hygiene rules, including frequent handwashing with warm water and soap for at least 20 seconds, before and after entering communal facilities and/or before and after any contact with surfaces that are used by more than one person.
  • Guests must abide by safe respiratory hygiene, including avoiding touching your face and ensuring you cover your mouth and nose when you cough and/or sneeze with either a tissue that you dispose of immediately after use or your bent elbow and then washing your hands.
  • Please refrain from shaking hands or touching anyone, outside of your booking party.

Your enjoyment and the safety of all our guests, staff and the wider community is our top priority. To this effect, our already vigilant team have been trained in COVID-19 best practice hygiene and cleaning procedures.

  • Currently our bus tours and Pizzeria are closed.
  • We ask you to please follow any instructions given by our team and continue to abide by existing State and Federal COVID-19 restrictions for the wellbeing of all.

After Hours

Noise must be kept to a minimum after 10pm.

A BIG4 Stuart Range Outback Resort representative is accessible 24 hours a day for emergencies only.

Arrival / Departure Times

Arrival Time: accommodation will be available for occupation as soon as practicable after 2pm.

For any late check in's after 10pm -8am the day after, please phone and organise this prior to arrival.

Departure Time: accommodation must be vacated by 10am on day of departure.


BIG4 Stuart Range Outback Resort (SROR) reserves the right to immediately evict any guest, visitor or member of the public for any anti-social behaviour, including but not limited to: possession or use of illegal drugs, wilful damage to SROR property, theft, physical or verbal abuse of staff, other guests or the public. In the event of an eviction, all money held or due will be forfeited and the registered guest will be unable to make future reservations at SROR.


Cancellations advised within 72 hours notice before the day of arrival are fully refundable less a $50 administration fee.

Cancellations inside of 24 hours of arrival will result in forfeiture of all monies paid.

Peak Season Cancellations advised with 30 days notice are fully refundable less a $50 administration fee.

Cancellations inside of 30 days of the scheduled arrival date will result in forfeiture of all monies in peak.

Refunds: Providing the necessary notice has been given and you are able to receive a refund, the remaining deposit will be refunded in the same way the payment was made.


Tickets paid for may only be refunded in full the night before departure otherwise a 20% penalty will apply up to three hours prior to departure. Full payment of fare will apply if cancellation is made within three hours of departure i.e. The tour starts at 1pm and you cancel at 9.30am you forfeit 20% of your fare as penalty or if you cancel at 11am 100% payment of fare is required.

We run our tours on a demand basis. So if you cancel giving us short notice we may not get anyone to fill your seats or we may have turned people away if we were fully booked.

If you pre book your tour, payment must be received by 10am on the day of departure or credit card details given as a guarantee. Failure to pay by 10am will release the booking to resell the tour ticket/s. A 20% penalty deposit may apply plus minimal transaction fees.

Phone bookings require credit card details to guarantee your seat/s or payment can be made at the SROR office prior to departure.


Infants under 2 years of age are free of charge; however there may be a charge for the use of a cot if required. Child rates apply to ages 2-15 years. SROR reserves the right to request proof of age.

All children riding bicycles or scooters are required to wear helmets for their own safety, and do so at their own risk.

Damages / Loss

All registered guests shall be liable for any loss or damage to the appliances, furniture, keys, fixtures and fittings in the accommodation. Fair wear and tear excluded. A fee may be charged if excessive cleaning is required after departure.


A deposit of the first night's tariff is required to secure the reservation. For bookings made in peak times for more than one night full payment may be required prior to arrival.

Final Payment

Balance of monies is due and payable on arrival, including full payment for any additional persons or nights.

Forms of Payment

Payment is accepted by cash, Visa, MasterCard or EFTPOS. Personal cheques will be accepted only if received 10 days prior to arrival.


All water in the park is suitable for drinking this is desalinated bore water and is of an excellent quality.

It is highly recommended to use a torch at night if walking to the reception area or amenities block for your own safety.

The park speed limit is 10kmph and is a shared zone; please watch for children and other guests.

Group Bookings

Additional terms and conditions may apply to group bookings.


The tariffs quoted include linen for each bed booked and paid for.

Minimum Booking Periods

Minimum booking periods may apply over school holidays, weekends, long weekends and selected special events.

Maximum Numbers per Unit

The number of people accommodated in each unit must not exceed the number of beds available.

Personal Belongings

BIG4 SROR takes no responsibility for the loss or damage of any personal item. Remember to lock your apartment or caravan when not occupied. Also lock your vehicle and remove any valuables; parking is at your own risk. Thoroughly check the accommodation before departure as any items left behind may not be recovered.

Pet Policy

Pets are allowed in the caravan park only. Medically required guide dogs are permitted in the apartments.

Please do not feed the birds.

Snakes have been seen in the warmer months; please notify office staff if sighted.


All prices quoted are in Australian dollars, are inclusive of GST and subject to change without notice due to seasonal and other variations.

Prices are based on two persons occupying accommodation unless otherwise specified; extra person rates apply for each additional person.


Accommodation apartments and amenities are serviced daily.


All buildings at SROR are non-smoking. By law, it is prohibited to smoke inside or within 5 metres of any public building. Smoking inside your accommodation will incur a minimum fee of $100.

Special Offers

Additional terms and conditions may apply to special offers. Standard conditions of special offers are: bookings under a special offer will be subject to availability, discounts cannot be redeemed as cash, specials do not apply to group bookings, and specials are only available to new bookings made after the release of the special.
